What we use
- Essential — session cookie for the admin login only. Readers do not need it.
- Measurement — if Google Analytics or a similar tag is enabled, that vendor may set its own cookies to understand which articles are read.
- First-party reads — unique-article counts use a hashed IP on the server, not an advertising cookie.
How to control them
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block measurement cookies, the pages still load. Admin login will not work without the session cookie.
Third parties
canbet.io, fonts, or analytics vendors process data under their own policies when those tools are turned on. We do not run third-party ad networks on the blog.
Updates
If we add a new non-essential cookie, this page will name it and the date above will change.
